ZFW 2013 Experience (Ed 2): YDP and Goddess

This is the Second part to my ZFW2013 editions. On this edition i focus on the YDP (Young Designers Programme) and Goddess by Fatima. The YDP is of particular importance to me because i'm always excited to see new material, new ideas, designs and competitors. This year's theme was "Fashion Through The Ages", with young people bringing in new innovations into fashion.  Now unfortunately i wasn't well vested with the most of the participants but i was glad that i was familiar with Tanaka Leroy Samukange of 7:30 Apparel. Another YDP participants was Sarudzai Murungu, who won Young Designer of the year.

Goddess by Fatima

Now i'm not familiar with Fatima but i will say her collection was quite elegant, polished and classy. The detail in the prints with the combination of the full skirt was just exquisite for me. Out of all the dresses designs/patterns in the world, i'm particularly fond with circle dresses with a full skirt. Tops to Fatima and the models for pulling off the sweetheart neckline (which is quite common in evening gowns and wedding dresses).

Fierce dress, Fierce walk with a Fierce Face. This was my favourite dress, i can relate to it because of my height and slim figure as well as the choice in the stripes.
